These covers are iconic and are a very integral part of why these games were successful and what made them so special to many people that bought the game. These game covers represent the strongest representation of the genre/category that they are presenting. These games are so unanimous with the genre/category of the game that it has its own version of this specific genre. The first cover is Mario, which is considered the best platforming game the world has ever seen, and the original game is the reason why gaming is still present to this day. because it revived gaming from the dead because of the video game Crash of 1983. The second cover is Dark Souls, which is the best action RPG game that is ever made, and it created its own genre of action RPGs named "Souls Likes." The third game is called Doom, which is still to this day the most influential first-person shooter game in the world, and it also has its own category of FPS, which is called "Doom Clones."
